The organised walks are excellent
Fossil hunting, on Charmouth Beach, is a ½ hour walk following the Monarch’s Way footpath, across the fields. There is also a fantastic visitor centre by the beach in Charmouth, the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, with hands on exhibits for kids and fascinating fossil displays. You can book fossil walks through the centre- must be booked well in advance especially in school holidays.
A fantastic area for gentle strolls or more serious walking.
